The Word 'Sikh' in the Punjabi language means 'disciple', Sikhs are the disciples of God who follow the writings and teachings of the Ten Sikh Gurus. The wisdom of these teachings in Sri Guru Granth Sahib are practical and universal in their appeal to all mankind.
"Any human being who faithfully believes in:
(i) One Immortal Being,
(ii) Ten Gurus, from Guru Nanak Dev to Guru Gobind Singh,
(iii) Guru Granth Sahib Ji,
(iv) The utterances and teachings of the ten Gurus and,
(v) The baptism bequeathed by the tenth Guru, and who does not owe allegiance to any other religion is a Sikh." (Reht Maryada, Sikh Code of Conduct)

What is the sanctity of Nanak's visit - as it is based on hearsay.Further Nanak visited Ayodhya (as per Valmiki Ramyana-Bala Kandam -
Rama was born in Ayodhya) but not the site of the birth - purported to be a temple - implicitly by the SC

There is no verse in the Granth extolling the virtues of Rama,while there are verses outlining the rape of the Hindoo martial races by Babar.It would be strange for the destruction of the Rama Birth temple - to not be stated in the Granth and the
subsequent scriptures.

to visit the Rama Janam sthan in Ayodhya to see idolators and knowing that the Ramayana describes Rama as a meat eater,drunkard,pimp,coward,pansy and a killer of Sudras
